We have been very busy in the first few days of school.  Most of our time has been spent learning new routines and practicing expected behaviors across settings.  There is a lot to learn, from walking in the hall in a line, to sitting on the classroom rug for circle, playing outside, or eating lunch in the cafeteria.   Getting the year under way takes an enormous amount of patience and perseverance on the part of students as new routines are taught, modeled, and practiced, all of which will help ensure future success and independence.  Your children have done a fantastic job!

I can not post pictures of children until we have received permission to do so (this is done in the Power School student registration- thank you if you have already completed this!)  However, I am including a few photos to give you a glimpse of some of the materials we have been exploring in preparation for literacy and math stations.  Ask your child about their favorite station so far!
